Good for kids, gentle on the planet
Today's young people aren't just knowledgeable about sustainability — they're active about it. We're doing our bit on the 'War on Waste', and helping our schools meet their own sustainability goals.
We tackle our footprint from every angle
From the way we run our kitchen to how we source produce and plan deliveries — small, deliberate choices that add up to a meaningfully smaller footprint for every lunch we make.
In our kitchen
Everyday practices that keep waste and energy use down.
Beyond our walls
Cutting the Scope 3 emissions that come from sourcing and delivery.
The indirect emissions across our supply chain — like getting ingredients to us and meals to school. Sourcing close and driving smart keeps them low.
Packaging, kept to a minimum
Our meals are made to be eaten in the classroom with minimum fuss, using as little packaging as possible. We favour paper-based recyclable products over plastic — and anything that does come with a meal is chosen to break down cleanly.
Paper over plastic
We choose paper-based, recyclable packaging ahead of plastic wherever a meal allows it.
100% compostable extras
Any utensils and napkins supplied with a meal are 100% biodegradable and compostable.
Recycled, compostable tubs
Where a sealed container is needed, it's sourced from recycled material and is 100% compostable.
